A Robotic Unit to Separate Pharmaceutical Packaging and Waste

Biotran is a pioneering plant specializing in the recycling of pharmaceutical packaging and waste in Spain. An ECOPICK robotic unit, designed to separate the different materials from the SIGRE points in Spain, works at its facilities with greater efficiency and speed.

The ECOPICK robot is equipped with a special Ø20mm suction cup, configured to separate different materials by suction. Installation is carried out in 4 phases: commissioning, dataset checks, performance tests, and warranty table checks.

The unit handles 8 different material classifications with a purity rate of 95%, demonstrating the precision that AI-driven robotic sorting brings to specialized waste streams such as pharmaceutical packaging.
