A facility built specifically for testing changes what's possible – both for the company's own R&D and for customers who want to know how their own material behaves before committing to an installation.
PICVISA has released its new Test Center, a dedicated facility that opens up new fields of R&D for the company and gives customers the opportunity to test their own materials on PICVISA's sorting equipment.
For customers, the value of a Test Center is fairly direct: rather than relying solely on specifications or demonstrations with generic material, they can bring samples representative of what their own plant actually processes and see how the equipment performs on it specifically. Material streams vary significantly between plants, even within the same broad category, so this kind of specific testing can answer questions that a general demonstration can't.
For PICVISA, the Test Center also functions as a platform for ongoing R&D – a controlled environment, based in Calaf, where new configurations and software can be evaluated against real material before being rolled out more broadly.
