The facility deals with a 30% increase in its productive capacity in order to be able to face with more solvency the input material increase of recent years. Likewise, TM Alcudia Reciclatges must prepare for the upward evolution of the input material in the coming years.

After the expansion, the plant has a production capacity of 25 ton/h of kerbside collection glass.

In the same expansion project, in addition to adding three new-generation pieces of equipment from the ECOGLASS family, the company also addressed the modernization of the optical separation equipment of the original project.

All the software and electromechanical advances developed during the last 10 years by the manufacturer were added to the original equipment. A new piece of equipment for the separation of non-ferrous metals was also added, and a general overhaul of the entire plant was carried out.

Once again, TM Alcudia Reciclatges makes a commitment to the glass recycling sector and is prepared to face the challenges of the sector, with a firm commitment to quality and productivity to place itself as a benchmark for the sector in Spain.

The expansion project was awarded to PICVISA, which had already carried out the original project and a previous expansion of the facility in 2015. The work was scheduled to last approximately 6 months, with the facility continuing to operate most of the time, stopping only during November 2018.
