Stand A11 in Sao Paulo was a small detail in a much bigger story – PICVISA's first steps into the Brazilian market, which would later include a recycling line in the same country.
PICVISA was present at Waste Expo Brazil 2016, held in Sao Paulo from November 22nd to 24th, at stand A11.
Waste Expo Brazil is one of the larger waste management trade fairs in Latin America, and attendance gave PICVISA direct visibility among Brazilian plant operators and waste management companies. Brazil's waste management sector has its own distinct mix of challenges and priorities, shaped by the country's scale and the structure of its existing collection and recovery systems – attending the fair was a way to start building relationships and understanding within that context.
This presence in Brazil would go on to matter beyond the fair itself, with PICVISA's optical sorting technology later being deployed in glass recovery lines in the country – a connection that started, in part, with appearances like this one at Waste Expo.
