Two years after the start-up of the automated glass recycling plant implemented in Brazil, Vidroporto has processed more than 200,000 tonnes of glass.

A two-year track record with that volume of material processed says more about a sorting line than any figure from its first weeks of operation could. For Vidroporto, reaching 200,000 tonnes means the plant has been running consistently, handling the variability of incoming glass streams over an extended period – not just performing well under ideal, freshly-commissioned conditions.

For PICVISA, this milestone in Brazil sits alongside the company's other projects in the country, including the more recent work with Massfix on its glass recycling line in Sao Paulo – together building a track record for PICVISA's optical sorting technology in the Brazilian glass recycling market.
